Application Information and Download Portal

Useful site for finding application software and utility programs. All downloads are free of charge. Recommendations, user ratings, and reviews are also featured.

BitTorrent Clients – use these programs to manage bittorrent downloads. By searching the Internet for torrent files, you will find a vast selection of free music, videos, movies, games, applications, and more. Just use a torrent search website to locate torrent files of interest, download the small torrent file, and open it with one these BitTorrent client programs. The BitTorrent download will then be managed for you by the program - and if it's interrupted, no problem, the client will reconnect and continue for you from where it left off.

Format Converters – use these applications if you need to convert one audio or video file format to another.
  • Free Mp3 Wma Converter – converts MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, M4A, APE, FLAC, and WAV file formats.
Media File Players – these players allow you to enjoy your digital media files on your personal computer. It’s always a good idea to preview the files that you have downloaded before burning them to disc, copying them to an external hard drive, or archiving them for future use.

Audio Stream Rippers – if you listen to Internet radio as a way of broadening your musical horizons, yet you wish you could record the music so that you can enjoy it again at a later time, then consider using one of these programs. Let the application listen to the Internet radio station for you and then it will store the individual songs off as mp3 files in a directory or folder on a hard drive connected to your computer. A hard disc drive media player makes an excellent destination for these recorded files since you can then, for example, take it on the go and play the files through an auxiliary input or FM interface on your car audio system – an excellent, non-commercial, and free alternative to satellite radio!

File Extractors, File Compressors & Decompressors, Disc Image Handlers – decompress many disc compression formats, dissect container formats, and mount disc images.
